Education for sustainable development

In Luxembourg, the ONGD-FNEL also has the mission to undertake actions aimed at raising the awareness of young people and the general public regarding development issues and the local realities of a country like Nepal. This goes through our development education 2022-2024 framework agreement and through the organisation of volunteering experiences and internships.

ONGD-FNEL invites you to try its Nepali Khel, an educational and fun online game that will allow you to learn more about Nepal, its culture, its people and its geography. Available in three languages (LU, FR and EN), the game is free and is available on www.nepalikhel.lu.

Have fun and enjoy exploring Nepal!

Exhibition "Nepal, land of contrasts"

Nepal is a fascinating country, where meet many ethnic groups and cultures, tradition and modernity, the crowd of the city and the calm of the remote villages, the highest mountains of the world and a dense and wild jungle.
The exhibition "Nepal, land of contrasts" from ONGD-FNEL brings together images taken by Marc Hammer and will make you travel to the heart of this country and its multiple facets, to better understand it.

If you are interested in showcasing this exhibition, do not hesitate to contact us.

"Rajani"

Post-facebook-event

In 2019, we went to Nepal with Marc Hammer, a Luxembourgish videographer, to record the testimony of Rajani Gurung and her inspiring journey. With her, we went to Laprak, her home village, which she had to leave when she was still a child for family reasons. She was then taken in by Umbrella Organization Nepal, which allowed her to resume her education and reunite with her family.

If you are interested in a screening of the film, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Workshops on child rights

We have developed an artistic and pedagogic workshop about child rights for children from 9 to 12 years old.

It is a set of educational, fun and interactive activities around rights, in order to show the different realities in Luxembourg and Nepal. The workshops are organized by members of the ONGD-FNEL.

If you are interested in an intervention in your scouts group or in your classroom, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Do you know the Nepal koffer?

The Nepal koffer is a suitcase that includes educational materials about Nepal for scout and teachers, various activities for students and exhibition items for the room. It is aimed at young people between the ages of 6 and 17 depending on the games: puzzles for different age groups to perform as a team, Kimspill with spices, Memory with Nepali symbols and our Nepal Board Game. Games are both fun and educational.

The koffer is available free of charge at the ONGD office and members of the association can attend the sessions to accompany the supervisors and present Nepal.
