« Education: the leverage point for change in a Nepalese community »

From November 8 to 23, 2022, the two co-founders of SAATH, Mrs. Kritishma Karki, Executive Director and Mr. Bijeysh Ranjit, Director of Development and Administration, will be in Luxembourg to share the work of their organization. Since 2019, ONGD-FNEL has been working with SAATH in the Musahar community, in southern Nepal, where women are particularly vulnerable, on a project that combines tailoring and Mithila art trainings, a very colorful vernacular art.

The goal of the project is not only to enable women to develop their skills, but above all to give them self-confidence so that they can become more independent, and to support them in making a career out of it and earning an income.

As part of their visit, several events have been planned to meet the population in Luxembourg and raise awareness regarding the situation of women and young people from this community.
