The unemployment rate for young people aged 15 to 29 is 19.2%, compared to 2.7% for the general population, and between 450,000 and 500,000 young people of Nepal come of working age each year.

Due to the lack of technical training in rural areas, most young people leave their communities and enter the national or foreign labor market with limited education and skills.

During this framework agreement, we have therefore decided to support projects that develop young people's technical and/or professional skills and support them to reach labor market:

• Reintegration and scholarships for children of detainees that are illegally in prison with HRASC – Project 004

• Support for families that are affected by HIV with the help of livelihood trainings and scholarships with SETU Nepal – Project 006

• Support for the reintegration and education support of young people and community development in rural areas with Umbrella Nepal – Project 014

• Support for conducting hospitality trainings with Right4Children – Project 016

• Innovative agriculture trainings and reinforcement of capacities for young disadvantaged adults of rural areas with SCLC – Project 018

• Support of a training centre, that gives professional and technical trainings to young marginalized people with DIRDC – Project 019

• Trainings for young disadvantaged girls and operation of a post-production unit and a shop with SAATH – Project 022

• Support to physically disabled youths through technical trainings with Forward Looking – Project 024
