Reintegration support and care of vulnerable people
Reintegration support and care of vulnerable people
In Nepal, despite some public initiatives to improve the social protection system, there is a great lack of local support and investment structures for the most vulnerable people, such as people in prison, people with disease or disability.
In Nepal, despite some public initiatives to improve the social protection system, there is a great lack of local support and investment in structures for the most vulnerable people, such as people in prison, people with disease or disability, or people rescued from traffic.
These people have specific needs and require additional support in order to have chances to then access basic skills, education and improve their living conditions.
For that, we decided to support projects of support, care and social reintegration intended for the people suffering from a vulnerable social situation:
- Physical and social reintegration of physically disabled children and young adults with HRDC – Project 001
- Reintegration and scholarships for children of detainees that are illegally in prison with HRASC – Project 004
- Support for families that are affected by HIV with the help of livelihood trainings and scholarships with SETU Nepal – Project 006
- Support for the reintegration and education support of young people and community development in rural areas with Umbrella Nepal – Project 014
- Support and monitoring of children and youths, whose parents are in prison with Prisoners Assistance Nepal – Project 017
